The Darjeeling Limited

I brought this film the other day because I loved the cover and I am a fan of Owen Wilson, even though he usually plays pretty much the same character in most films. It took us about an hour to pry open the case because the sales assistant in Zavvi managed to leave the security tag on, those sale DVDs are well guarded..

Lots of people seemed to be raving about how gorgeous Natalie Portman looks in Part 1: 'Hotel Chevalier', which she did as ever. I was enamoured of the iconic Louis Vuitton luggage too and also Adrien Brody who was perfect! Owen Wilson deviated from his typecast (slightly) and Jason Schwartzman.. is really short, but also rather eccentric. And the setting! You could watch this film with the sound off because the scenes are so well shot and colourful!

I recommend this film to anyone-if you liked The Garden State you will probably love it, but it isn't too sentimental, too serious or even too funny. It is funny in parts because life is funny and people are strange, but I doubt anyone will regret watching it.
